Wellness by Design 2020

Wellness by Design is a mini-conference packed with valuable tools and insights to guide you toward a healthier professional and personal life.

In its second year, Wellness by Design continues to focus on mental, physical, social, spiritual, and financial health. Presenters will provide real-time, usable tools to help you navigate your busy days toward your goals of a healthier you.

This year, you'll see a few familiar faces, as a few of our presenters from last year return to give you more insights from a slightly different approach. You'll also experience new presenters, giving their perspectives on our holistic topics.

About the Presenters:



Naomi Bourassa - Returns to get us better acquainted with gentle yoga practice we can do in the office or at home. Naomi is a yoga instructor, licensed massage therapist, and social worker. She has practiced bodywork for 15 years accumulating continuing education in several modalities including Thai Massage, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular Therapy. Naomi completed her Master's in social work to become a licensed clinical social worker in order to combine bodywork with mental health. Naomi focuses on trauma-informed practice and provides accessible yoga to people of all abilities, adapting her yoga practice to meet her clients’ needs. 

Asatta Jones - (AJones Wellness) returns with a twist: she'll interview a few people live for her podcast, What Makes Me Well.  Asatta began teaching physical fitness classes in 2012 after her own health journey led her into a new way of life. A true believer in the mind-body connection, Asatta combines the education & training that she's received from trusted organizations such as Yoga Alliance, ElevatED, and AFAA with her education in mental health psychology to safely challenge every student to push past comfort zones and achieve goals. On her podcast What Makes Me Well, Asatta and guests discuss the different aspects of their lives that makes them well and how they maintain it. The podcast is available to listen to on the Apple Podcast and Google Play Music apps. 

Faith Amon - Owner and creative director of Frecklefoot Creative. She first discovered Improv from a dear friend Bob Kodzis while working together to re-brand a local organization. The introduction led to an intensive exploration and incorporation of the lessons of improv into her work and her life. She now teaches teambuilding and improv workshops to a variety of companies and organizations helping them discover the magic of saying yes! and unearthing of people's potential to have fun while learning.

Amy Lynch - (Healthy Foundation Wellness) teaches us about the mind/body connection and gives us some tools for better health. Amy is a National Board Certified Health Coach who educates and motivates those interested in improving their overall well-being. She received her Master Health Coach certification through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. Along with her certification, she has also received extensive training with Cognitive Behavior Therapy for sleep issues as well as her Lifestyle Medicine Certification through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.  She is the owner of Healthy Foundation Wellness as well as a Behavioral Sleep Coach for Ebb Therapeutics. She loves creating health and wellness foundations strong in education, mindfulness, and motivation for each and every one of her clients. Amy believes health and wellness can be a journey filled with empowerment and inspiration for so many people looking to make the shift.  She is a graduate of The University of Central Florida (Go KNIGHTS!) and has a passion for yoga, spinning, reading, traveling and spending time with her husband Steve and daughter Kinnie.

Ayana Campbell Smith - (Envy Labs) brings her expertise in finance for Millennials to the table, but don't worry, she'll include tips for those of us who aren't in that generation, too. Ayana is a debt-free millennial with a passion for helping other millennials ditch debt, save more, and win with money. In August 2019, she launched Millennial Money Guide. Through her monthly email newsletter, Instagram, blog, and online courses, Ayana shares practical tips and money advice to help young adults navigate the sometimes intimidating and often misunderstood world of personal finance.

Alex Perry - A travel blogger by heart and a multimedia designer by skill. As a native of Orlando, she’s built her career designing for businesses ranging from startups to INK 500 companies. Her passion for ethical fashion has led her to freelance as a content creator for female-founded brands that focus on sustainability and wellness. Over the past two years, she’s explored a sober curious lifestyle that created the space for her to develop self-care rituals, heal limiting beliefs, and uncover her creative potential. 

Helen Montgomery DeBevoise - Studied at Randolph-Macon Woman's College and the University of Alabama receiving degrees in French and Psychology and a special emphasis in business. Helen received her D.Min from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, where she met her husband, Dan. Helen and Dan have served together as co-pastors for 32 years in churches in Virginia and Orlando. They have been pastors of the Park Lake Presbyterian Church in Orlando since January 1993. Helen enjoys art, quilting, cooking, travel and run/walking.  She and Dan are parents to 3 adult children, one dorkie, and 2 grand-pugs.

Chef Andrew JonesAfter graduating from the Cordon Bleu in 2005, Andrew earned his chops under some of the top head chefs in Central Florida. From 2004 to 2016, practicing his skills at a variety of restaurants prepared him to handle anything in the kitchen. He’s been a private chef since 2016, specializing in local, healthy, organic, nutritional foods.

Jessica Bott has spent decades helping others to understand their place in this world, from working with college students to becoming a purpose coach, author, and business consultant. Her mission is to help people and organizations live their purpose, on purpose. She has happily made her home in The City Beautiful - Orlando, Florida.
